The calm winter did at least mean that I found time to refurb an 80l JP. The board is a sweet wave riding board and when I bought it in 2005 (I think) I knew that she was a keeper!! The only problem was that she was a little big for every day use here - but when cross off kicked in she was perfect. As happens though time passed on and the JP got a little too battered for normal use (a few holes and peeling off deck pads) so I switched to Starboards and then on to Naish - now it was my 2008 Naish Wave Pro 75l that really set the scene. I love both the JP80 and the RN75PW but the Naish was too much of a cross off board for the onshore days and too small for the marginal cross-off days. That's of course when I said to myself "mmm - maybe I should have bought the 80l Naish". Of course the logical solution was to dig out the old JP and refurb her - they say a picture tells a thousand words so here are a few thousand words:
