Good news and bad news

The good news is that we've finally managed to get back on the water after the worst Feb on record. We had 3.7 sess at Pembroke on Sunday which was pretty brutal but it was good to get back in the water. I did a little head cam but I think that this video it worth bigging up because it's far better than anything I'm likely to produce - ok it's from Jersey but you've got to take your hat off to them.

There's also a reminder from not far away in Brittany France of how dangerous our sport can be. A top French wave sailor Vincent Mellouet was killed whilst out sailing on Sunday only about 150miles away from where we were all having fun. He was a top sailor and could really coupe le dijon. I met him once on the island of Oleron when there was a wave comp on, we chatted briefly and he said that one day he would like to visit Guernsey. Sadly I guess that will never be the case.
